Ir. Eduard Jacob Johan Kuinders (1842-1916)
Ir. Kuinders richtte samen met de gebroeders Eltzbacher in 1881 de NV Haarlem-Zandvoort Spoorweg. Hierdoor kreeg Zandvoort de beschikking over de rechtstreekse spoorverbinding met het achterland, die voor de ontwikkeling van de badplaats zo belangrijk was. Eduard Jacob Johan Kuinders was van 1893 tot 1899 lid van de gemeenteraad van Amsterdam; hij overleed op 73-jarige leeftijd in Hilversum.
